Floyd Mayweather first tiptoed into the boxing ring in 1996 when he defeated fellow newcomer Roberto Apodaca through a knockout. The man has been consistently giving stellar performances since and even made the biggest PPV events in the history of the sport. Recently, the 45-year-old got inducted into the Hall of Fame for his contribution to the sport. And his coach put up a heartfelt message for the boxer, which hinted at another billion-dollar run.

Mayweather’s trainer shared a video on Instagram where the boxer is seen training. The caption read, “Me and @floydmayweather got crazy chemistry.. I remember our first day ever working together(coach/fighter) in Miami last spring.. people who there would’ve sworn we had been training in secrecy for months/ years. It was really our first time. Roger’s def smiling hard right here besides us and hope big Floyd knows that I have his son’s back like a real friend, fan, brother, trainer should… the mind, body, soul, and legacy of TBE will always be the priority in training, in exhibitions and with the huge possibility of another billion dollar run in the sport!!”

The caption even had a mention of Floyd’s uncle Roger Mayweather, who was his trainer for a very long time. It even pointed toward another billion-dollar run, which might be possible if the American goes up against UFC star Conor McGregor for a rematch.

Floyd Mayweather’s shot for another billion-dollar run 

‘Money’ exited from professional boxing when he last fought against McGregor in 2017, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The former emerged as the winner of the fight and retired from the sport with a perfect 50-0 record. However, Mayweather involves himself in exhibition fights and is set to face Japanese fighter Mikuru Asakura next.

Interestingly, there have been rumors about a potential rematch between the ‘pretty boy’ of boxing and McGregor. As per reports, Mayweather has offered the Irishman $157.9 million for their sequel.

Furthermore, the UFC star’s trainer Raj Vrinceanu posted a picture from Mayweather and McGregor’s first showdown. Just a few days ago, ’The Notorious’ added the post to his story and wrote, “Tick tock”.
