The Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul exhibition bout is less than a week away. Boxing fans are close to witnessing one of the most controversial events in the sport’s history.

Fans and critics have already shown their disapproval of the event thanks to the lack of ‘real boxing’ on show. And things have gone from bad to worse as the card has lost another professional bout with Viddal Riley having to pull out due to visa complications.

The former trainer of Logan Paul’s rival KSI posted a video on his YouTube channel to explain the situation. He said, “It’s got to that point where it’s not happening. This is not my fault, this is not a fault of mine. This is why I kept it so quiet for so long because I just didn’t want to be creating a buzz about it and not knowing if I could go or not.”

The Englishman added, “I applied for one of the forms. Or Mayweather promotions on my behalf applied for a national exemption form to get me into the country. But for some reason or the other, it wasn’t granted in time.”

Big blow for Viddal Riley

Considering he was part of the first-ever YouTuber boxing event, Riley is no stranger to the idea of non-professional celebrity boxing. Despite this, he is a skilled professional and is under Mayweather Promotions. Thus, his absence will be a blow to all involved.

The event has already lost an exciting contest after Jean Pascal tested positive for three banned substances and had to pull out of the Badou Jack bout.

For Riley himself, this is another colossal blow. He was first supposed to fight on the undercard of his idols, Roy Jones Jr. and Mike Tyson. However, a back injury meant he could not compete at that event. And now, despite being completely healthy, he cannot make his comeback.

Thus, this is a tremendous loss for all parties involved. However, fans will hope that the event still delivers on all the hype.
