If there is one boxer to go to for sound financial advice, it is the crown prince of the sport, Floyd Mayweather Jr. Jaw-dropping fight purses, and intelligent financial investments have in fact made him the richest boxer of all time. Meanwhile, Mayweather was recently seen giving ‘money advice’ to young boxers.

The billionaire boxer was giving a speech at the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame 10th Annual Induction Gala Weekend on August 27, 2022. Mayweather also gave special emphasis on the importance of family and having a strong support system.
In closing, Mayweather addressed the fighters, saying, “To all the champions, I proud of you all.”

Moreover, the former champ even had a word of advice for the future champions. Mayweather said, “To all the champions that is coming after me. Save your money. Be smart. And, unless you get hit, you’re going to be the last in the sport of boxing.”
Mayweather thank the Nevada Hall of Fame for the induction, and also assured the fighters of his constant support.

Mayweather made the revelation at the same hall of fame induction in Nevada. Talking about turning in an investment into a massive ROI, he said, “One of the best investments was 750,000 when I bought myself out of my contract.”
Mayweather, who was signed to Top Rank Boxing, left the promotional company in 2006, as he was unhappy with the fight purses. Moreover, he had to pay the promotional company USD 75o,000 to buy himself out. He later went on to fight Manny Pacquiao, Conor McGregor, and Canelo Alvarez. Talking about the fight night paydays, he said, “In three fights, with Conor McGregor, Manny Pacquiao, and Canelo. I was able to make 750 million.”
