The Mayweather family experienced a heartwrenching loss of an essential personality in their lives. Mayweather Jr lost his personal assistant, Marikit Laurico, who was an imperative part of the Mayweather team. Recently, Floyd Mayweather Jr‘s baby momma, Mellisa Brim, took to Instagram to share a heartwarming moment of Laurico and pay tribute. Laurico was Mayweather Jr’s personal assistant for more than a decade and had developed a close bond with the whole family.
Recently, Brim took to her Instagram to share a cute video of Laurico being surprised after receiving a pair of socks. Further, she wrote a warm message remembering ‘Kitchie.’

Brim’s heartwarming moment
Mellisa Brim reshared a clip initially posted by The Sock Gallery. The video showed Laruico’s cute reaction to receiving a new pair of socks. Sock Gallery shared the video on their Instagram story and wrote, “She was so happy. Miss you too much.” Moreover, Brim expressed her emotions by using a few emojis. Her death was a shock to the whole boxing world and many prominent personalities from the sport took to social media to show their love for the Mayweather family.
Brim also posted a series of photos on Instagram stating, “I think about how much I’m going to miss you & it hurts my heart even more to know when KJ goes to his paw paw’s house that he will be walking around looking for you saying “Kitchie Kitchie” he loved you so much & you watched all the movies with him haha. I will cherish all the memories I have you forever!”

Who was Marikit Larucio?
Having moved to the US when she was 11 years old, Larucio studied marketing and public relations in college. Eventually, she crossed paths with Floyd Mayweather, acting as his assistant and marketing manager for more than 10 years. Larucio had never planned to work in the world of boxing but only transitioned into the sport after meeting the champ.

She would also travel with Mayweather for his fights or for the purpose of promotions. After her death, many members of the Mayweather family paid their respect to the kind soul. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is yet to come out with a statement.
