Floyd Mayweather’s Documentary to Expose Disgruntled Employees’ Stories

Floyd Mayweather is surely one of the most brutal boxers that boxing has ever seen. The record of being undefeated and having 50 wins in his bucket, is what defines Mayweather. However, not many know the truth behind Mayweather’s success. Mayweather opened up about his unknown story which will be featured in the docuseries, ‘The GOAT,’ directed by Deon Taylor.

At a recent press conference for Deon Taylor’s next horror film ‘Fear’, Floyd Mayweather and famous basketball player Scottie Pippen appeared, and Mayweather revealed some clues about the docuseries. Although fans are anxiously waiting for the series to release, Mayweather’s new hint will help them to think differently about the champion boxer.

Floyd Mayweather is synonymous with success in the boxing ring. But as with every successful man, Mayweather’s success did not happen overnight. According to the interview, his docuseries is not only about success but also about the rollercoaster ride that has shaped his life.

While talking about his journey to the top, Mayweather got emotional to tell how his initial days were. He told about how his community tried to pull him back. Mayweather said in the show, “I want to be able to tell my story just not about the fighter. About the man, about the human, about my dad about my mother, you know, it’s something that nobody you always see my dad, you always see my family, but you guys, never see my mother.”

The champion further added, “So on discord, you know I’m ready to tell, my story and I don’t want to just tell, I want to show the good the bad, and the ugly.”

During the interview, he talked about ‘Disgruntled Employees’, which he might refer to the betrayal he got during his initial days. He said, “you know just, I wanted my story to be told from all walks of life. Meaning that when we, shoot the way, we shoot in this doc, we want to go get the disgruntled employees. Tell the story. We want to go get everybody.”

Floyd Mayweather praises his mother

During the event, Mayweather cited his mother as a very strong woman who helped him grow. Very few know that Mayweather’s father left him and his mother at a very young age. This left Mayweather in a deep state, and his mother carried all the burden. He said, “I want to be able to tell my story just not about the fighter. About the man, about the human, about my dad about my mother, you know, it’s something that nobody you always see my dad, you always see my family, but you guys, never see my mother.”

He also talked about the “strength” of being a “black woman”. He said, ” You know a strong woman, a strong black woman because there’s nothing in the world better than a black woman. Here she is.”

People most often think wrong of Floyd Mayweather as money-driven, and there are lots of controversies around him. However, his new docuseries will put some light on his life beyond the success.
