Over the last few days, Gervonta Davis has been in the news for obvious reasons. A few days back, the undefeated fighter got lined up to face Rolando Romero for his December 5 outing. Unfortunately, as Romero had to withdraw from this fight, ‘Tank’ was left without an opponent. However, Isaac Cruz stood up to take this fight.

Hence, Davis will lock horns with Cruz on December 5 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. However, one of Davis’ biggest rivals isn’t quite impressed with him.

The unified lightweight champ Teofimo Lopez shares a great rift with ‘Tank’. In his recent chat with Fight Hub TV, he launched a scathing attack on Davis.

“A real man doesn’t have to seek what he has. A real man just goes out there and does it. You know what I mean, that’s why I say, ‘Tank’s a pu**y. Because that’s not a real man,” said Lopez.

In the above interview, ‘The Takeover’ had some words of praise for Rolando Romero. The champ even called ‘Rolly’ devoted, but he didn’t feel the same about Davis.

‘Tank’ has yet to respond to Lopez‘s above comments, but for now, he is involved in his preparations for his December 5 fight.

Hence, he may opt to let his fists do the talking and provide a response to Lopez with a dominant win over Cruz. Although this fight doesn’t compare to the hype of Davis vs Romero, it still will be an important bout for both these technicians.

With that, fans can envision Davis to be his usual self and attack his adversary with his best shots. After his last win, ‘Tank’ will look to be the aggressor from the first bell itself. Hence, the fans will be in for a treat as he will look to finish the fight as early as he can.
