Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather is the richest boxer to ever live. One doesn’t earn the moniker ‘Money’ in one of the highest paying sports for no reason. Mayweather’s lavish lifestyle and crazy purchases have landed him this moniker. However, Mayweather is also a very smart investor.

Back in 2018, Mayweather revealed his part in the One Vanderbilt hotel in New York City. “I’ve been working with my real estate buddies, my real estate guys. The project I’m working on now is called One Vanderbilt. It’s going to be the tallest building in New York City.”

“It’s going to be taller than the Empire State building. We are also putting an observation deck on the building,” said Mayweather to YouTube channel Fight Hype.

The 1,301-foot long skyscraper is one of the tallest buildings in New York City, just shy of 432 Park Avenue and One World Trade Center.

Mayweather was the highest-paid athlete during his prime, sometimes earning hundreds of millions of dollars from one fight alone. During his career, however, Floyd was not careful with his money. He would fight, earn millions, then blow it up till he fought again. In order to have a sustainable flow of cash, ‘Money’ May had to start investing well.

Floyd Mayweather reveals his best investments 

Earlier this year, before he came out of retirement to fight Logan Paul, Floyd Mayweather revealed his best investments. “One of the best investments that I did was New York real estate. When you see me using the cars, you see the flashy. There’s a lot that comes with that, a lot of smart moves that come behind the scenes.”

“I invested, you guys can Google Vanderbilt and Google Mayweather. I am part of that project. It’s the tallest building in New York City. You know I own so many different buildings, my exact numbers in New York City, I own nine skyscrapers in New York City,” said Floyd.

‘Money’ Mayweather also earned a huge fight purse against Logan Paul earlier this year.
