People often forget Tyson Fury is quickly approaching retirement age. Some would even suggest he should retire right away after witnessing the fight against Francis Ngannou. However, in his prime, ‘The Gypsy King’ was truly a force to be reckoned with. The British Heavyweight took down the likes of Derek Chisora, Otto Wallin, and Deontay Wilder. Also, how can anyone forget the clash with Wladimir Klitschko?
Moreover, the same November 2015 showdown with Klitschko recently became the talk of the town! In a surprising twist of events, Michael Benson shared an eight-year-old clip of the Brit moments before facing Klitschko. Benson wrote, “Tyson Fury posted these videos from his hotel room just a couple of hours before dethroning Wladimir Klitschko eight years ago today.” So, when people discovered the clip, they were left shocked by Tyson’s “good shape” from back then.

However, this is where the reminiscing ends while a little bit of criticism begins. The user highlighted Fury’s subpar performance against Francis Ngannou.

Someone else claimed Tyson Fury today looks like the popular cartoon character “Homer Simpson” while also underscoring the Ngannou fight.

Since the clip was from when Fury fought Klitschko, it’s worth highlighting that a famous promoter recently compared Fury’s performance against Klitschko to Fury’s style today.
Well Known promoter weighs in on Oleksandr Usyk vs. Fury
After nearly losing his pristine boxing record against Ngannou, Fury is scheduled to face Oleksandr Usyk sometime in February. However, many in the industry have raised questions about Fury’s fighting abilities. One of those people is Eddie Hearn, who recently compared Fury’s skills today with the Fury who fought Klitschko in 2015.

“How does [Tyson Fury] beat Usyk? Does he have that aggressive style? Does he revert to type? It’s very difficult to be that kind of fighter that he was against Klitschko,” Hearn told Seconds Out. He went on to suggest that “he looks a little bit lost in styles.” Hearn further speculated, “his confidence in his reactions and his speed and movement isn’t the same.”
