Jake Paul has garnered massive attention from the boxing community, with his constant surge in a short period. However, not everyone seems to be a fan, especially former cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew. The British veteran doesn’t reflect any hatred towards ‘The Problem Child’ but didn’t buy Paul’s claims of taking up the sport of boxing.

In response to one of the many tweets from Jake Paul, Tony Bellew ridiculed the 24-year-old and warned him of reconsidering the thought of taking up boxing. ‘Bomber’ Bellew further detailed his approach to it during an exclusive chat with DAZN Boxing.

When asked about Jake Paul, Bellew said, “First of all, I have got no hate or miles towards Jake Paul. You crack on, do what you do mate. It’s great but in no way shape or form can you claim to carry my sport. You absolute f*** muppet. He hasn’t even fought a boxer yet. So how can you claim to be carrying the sport when you haven’t fought someone who comes from my sport? It’s unbelievable.”

Tony Bellew isn’t the only combat persona to have lashed out at Jake Paul, as several more are on the list and the prime reason for it has been ‘The Problem Child’ himself. Jake Paul has made bold claims, taking shots at several combat kingpins like Floyd Mayweather, Canelo Alvarez, Tyson Fury, and even the UFC sensations. Although Paul is new in the combat ride, his approach to self-promotion has been like the world champion elites. It has fetched him quality attention but has also turned him into a villain for the traditional fight fans.
