2021 was a year full of high-voltage boxing bouts and some big-time upsets. Talking about upsets, one fight that tops the chart is the heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk. Many people believed that ‘The Cat’ was an underdog in this fight, however, he outboxed the Briton in every way to become the new unified king of the big division.

Since then, the thing Joshua has asked for is a rematch with his Ukrainian foe. In fact, he has also triggered the rematch clause to settle his scores. Many believe Joshua can turn the tide in his favor this time. However, one of his former sparring partners, David Price, believes ‘AJ’ will have to get lucky to beat Usyk.

Speaking to talkSport recently, he said, “Not against Usyk, I just think Usyk has got his number,”

“Every fighter has an opponent where that style of fighting and that man in particular, where you’re just going to have be really lucky to win the fight.”

“You can be lucky, but luck also creates itself with mistakes that are made by the opponent and I do not think Usyk is someone that will make the mistake where he will put himself in a position to be knocked out by an Anthony Joshua punch.” he added.

Usyk gave many problems to Joshua on fight night. His head movements and constant work with his left hands proved to be a turning point. Eventually, this made him win the fight, fair and square.

What can be expected from Anthony Joshua in the rematch?

Anthony Joshua, in the past few months, met bigwig boxing coaches like Ronnie Shields, Eddy Reynoso, and more. ‘AJ’ even worked on his boxing skills under Floyd Mayweather, a few days back.
