Tyson Fury is arguably the best boxer in the world right now. The Heavyweight kingpin has looked virtually unstoppable. He made that abundantly clear in his dominant win over Deontay Wilder in their rematch.

With a super fight against Anthony Joshua on the horizon, Fury has spoken about his past. He did that while talking about his fight with Wladimir Klitschko on a YouTube channel. Fury described how he wanted to respond to Klitschko after he landed a head-butt on him.

“I don’t think I have ever done anything in a fight that was bad. And Klitschko once head-butted me live on camera. He like pulled back and banged me with a knot. I looked right through and he went, continue.

“So I was trying to hit him in the nuts and I just couldn’t connect. I was trying to get back to the nut sack, but I just couldn’t get him. I’ll never complain in a fight.

“They can hit me with the head, the elbow, whatever they want. I am not going to say to the referee ‘I need a point’. I’ll just hit them back harder.”

Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko

Klitschko was the undisputed best heavyweight boxer in the world not too long ago. Klitschko had embarked on what is now, the second-longest reign as the world champion for 10 years when he went to fight Fury in 2015. While the fight wasn’t the most exciting one, Fury managed to win it all via decision.

Tyson Fury himself fell way off after the Klitschko fight. Upon realizing his dream of being the best boxer in the world, Fury would lose all motivation to continue his career.

This led to him becoming severely overweight, depressed, and struggling with a substance abuse problem. His championship was taken from him and he left the sport for 3 years.

Fury then returned in 2018 and embarked on an awe-inspiring comeback tour. This included everything from defeating Deontay Wilder to become the Heavyweight Champion of the world. Meanwhile, Klitschko would lose to Anthony Joshua and retire in 2017.
