The undefeated heavyweight stalwarts Efe Ajagba and Frank Sanchez rolled out a fiery slugfest for the WBC Continental Americas heavyweight title and the WBO NABO heavyweight title. The pair made the most out of their appearance on the Fury vs Wilder 3 card. However, Sanchez had a slight edge over his fellow contemporary as he won this fight via a unanimous decision.
Ajagba had his focus set on attacking Sanchez’s body, and he began his light work with the same. Using his massive frame, the Nigerian fighter employed his fine jabs to keep Sanchez on his toes. On the other hand, Sanchez looked for a counter-attack and he even struck his adversary with one good right hand in round 1.

As ‘The Cuban Flash’ was on the back foot in the initial rounds, Ajagba saw an opportunity to press him. However, Sanchez kept extremely swift movements to get out of the Nigerian boxer’s range. Ajagba, in round 3, attacked his opponent with a couple of right hooks.
He also began going ahead with his strikes and Sanchez counter-attacked well. ‘The Cuban Flash’ had the faster hands and his defense too seemed on point.
Ajagba struggled to land his right hand on Sanchez as the 29-year-old opted to cut the distance to deny his opponent the room to swing. As Sanchez failed to drop Ajagba, the latter kept coming ahead and staggered the Cuban fighter.
