YouTuber turned boxer, Jake Paul, has suddenly become the talk of the sport. ‘The Problem Child’ has received immense criticism for his eccentric behavior and ambitious call-outs. However, promoter Frank Warren has now lashed out at Paul for not backing up his words.

Paul is fresh off a knockout victory over Ben Askren. Since then, the American has been in search of a new opponent. One name that made the rounds was Tyson Fury’s brother, Tommy Fury. And Fury’s promoter, Warren, has now given his take on the fight.

The promoter spoke to iFL TV and gave his take on the fight. Warren said, “You know what, actions speak louder than words. I know Jake’s got this following, he’s got these, you know, on YouTube and whatever. He’s got all these people following him, and he says all these things and he says all the right things, but you know what, do it!”

This comment from the Englishman showed his frustration at Paul’s behavior. The YouTuber is famous for hyping up things before there is anything concrete. However, the promoter then added, “We want to make the fight. It’s really easy, he takes 50%, Tommy takes 50%.”

Why is Frank Warren talking about the potential Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury bout?

These comments from Warren revealed their requirements to seal the bout. However, it is unlikely that Jake Paul will agree to an equal split. Regardless of the negotiations, why is Frank Warren talking about these rumors?

The rivalry between ‘The Problem Child’ and ‘TNT’ started when Paul made a dig at Tyson Fury’s brother. As a result, Tommy Fury retaliated and trolled the YouTuber in a social media video of his own. Since then, the pair have gone back and forth.

Moreover, like Paul, Fury has a good social media presence thanks to his stint on the UK reality TV show, Love Island. In addition, both compete in the cruiserweight division, and thus, practically the fight makes sense.

However, Jake Paul is targeting UFC fighters, and given Fury’s demand for a 50-50 split, it is unlikely that the two will meet in the ring next. Although, this could be a rivalry for fans to watch out for.
