In a fight that was hyped for months, Gervonta Davis delivered on his promise to take out Ryan Garcia in their super fight on Saturday. The two fighters went head to head in a 136-pound catchweight fight at the sold-out T-Mobile Arena in front of 20,842 fans.

The fight started off with Garcia looking quick and landing some shots, but Davis soon found his rhythm and began to land his own. In Round 2, Davis landed a counter left hand that sent Garcia to the canvas. Despite this, ‘KingRy’ quickly got back up and showed no ill effects, but it was a sign of things to come. In Round 7, Davis landed a stinging liver shot that floored Garcia for the second time in the fight. However, this time, Garcia was unable to beat the count, and the referee called the fight at 1:44 of Round 7.

After the fight, Garcia admitted that he couldn’t breathe and get up. Davis, on the other hand, declared himself the ‘face of boxing’. This was not all as the boxing community was quick to jump on and share their thoughts following ‘Tank’s’ victory.
