Gennady Golovkin ranks among the best boxing talents of all time. He is an absolute fan favorite who has remained in the limelight for a long time. Moreover, he is the most loved boxer on the planet because of the humble nature and attitude he displays.
He looks for multiple ways to inspire the budding generation of boxers with his in and outside the ring activities.
Also, in his illustrious boxing run, ‘GGG’ has not really trash-talked any of his opponents. But recently he went all out against Matt Richardson for his comments on him.

Firstly, Richardson took it to Twitter and shared a news piece wherein it was mentioned that Canelo would face Jermall Charlo over Golovkin. He wrote, “I’d rather watch him against Charlo than GGG again, too. GGG is finished.”
These comments left the middleweight chap fuming, and as a result, he launched a verbal attack on Richardson.
“Nobody gives a sh*t what you think. I’d rather watch people doing something worth my attention than trash talking and hyping around my name. Way too cliché,” he wrote.

‘GGG’ last fought in December 2020, wherein he faced Kamil Szeremeta for his title defense. This was a one-sided outing and the 39-year-old truly outclassed his fellow adversary.

With this win, Golovkin put out a statement loud and clear that he still has a lot left in the bag. And he is capable of beating any and every opponent thrown at him. That said, he didn’t really like Richardson’s above comments and this is principally why he was left angered.

Will Gennady Golovkin get his hands on Canelo Alvarez ever again?
There are countless rivalries in boxing that have catered to a sea of boxing audiences. The ‘GGG’ vs Alvarez rivalry is among that list and the world has seen what happened between the duo in their two meetings.

But the third fight between them doesn’t really seem to be on the cards. Because the Mexican boxer is currently on his pursuit to become the undisputed king at the super-middleweight division. And it seems he won’t really notch down for a substantial time.

That said, this rivalry might remain unfinished in the history books ahead.
