Kazakh boxing legend, Gennady Golovkin, has a to prepare for in 2021. ‘GGG’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has hinted at a cracker of a contest against the WBO middleweight champion, Demetrius Andrade.

This will be a lucrative contest, as both the fighters are among the staunch contenders in the 160-pound division. The Matchroom Boxing supremo said, “They’re both middleweight world champions, let’s make the fight. It’s a really good, intriguing fight.”

Golovkin last fought on December 18, 2020, against Kamil Szeremeta and landed a devastating finish. Ever since that win, he was looking for a rugged contender to step inside the ring, and it looks like he’s got an even tougher opponent.

Demetrius Andrade’s last fight was in January 2020. He added another T/KO victory to his name against Luke Keeler and retained his WBO title.

If booked, the duo will collide in a high-risk-high-reward unification bout.
