Gennady Golovkin Next Fight: Eddie Hearn Wants GGG vs Demetrius Andrade

Kazakh boxing legend, Gennady Golovkin, has a to prepare for in 2021. ‘GGG’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has hinted at a cracker of a contest against the WBO middleweight champion, Demetrius Andrade.

This will be a lucrative contest, as both the fighters are among the staunch contenders in the 160-pound division. The Matchroom Boxing supremo said, “They’re both middleweight world champions, let’s make the fight. It’s a really good, intriguing fight.”

Golovkin last fought on December 18, 2020, against Kamil Szeremeta and landed a devastating finish. Ever since that win, he was looking for a rugged contender to step inside the ring, and it looks like he’s got an even tougher opponent.

Demetrius Andrade’s last fight was in January 2020. He added another T/KO victory to his name against Luke Keeler and retained his WBO title.

If booked, the duo will collide in a high-risk-high-reward unification bout.

Can Gennady Golovkin outplay Demetrius Andrade?

Even at his current age, ‘GGG’ has shown no signs of slowing down and has only got better with time. At this stage of his vast career, Golovkin won’t mind taking the Demetrius Andrade challenge to cement himself as the best at 160-pounds.
