Mike Tyson, 54, is ready to stage his return against a 51-year-old Roy Jones Jr, in a fight that is going to get down in the history books for several reasons. If you remember the iconic scene of Robert De Niro sparring Sylvester Stallone in the climax of 2013- thriller movie ‘Grudge Match’, you might be pumped about the real-life scenario too.

Although Tyson and Roy Jones Jr never had beef in their prime, they are ready to dance against each other in their dotage period. However, they don’t consider it to be a bad-blood matchup. Tyson has been teasing his potential in-ring return for months. Before coming to terms with Jones Jr, Tyson was linked with several big names with the likes of Jon Jones, Wanderlei Silva, Shannon Briggs, and former foe Holyfield.

Now, when Tyson vs Jones Jr is up and official, not everyone believes it to be a good idea. Boxing great and former World champion George Foreman is one of them. Foreman, 71, recently told  TMZ why Tyson and Jones Jr should avoid a matchup at this age.

Although Foreman became the eldest person to hold a world title at 45, a feat sill untouched, ‘The Big George’ still doesn’t approve the upcoming matchup. As per Foreman, getting hit on the head might be dangerous for both the men and he hopes that doesn’t happen.

“Well in my younger days you can hit in the head, you can shake it off and you can come back. The older you get hit, you shake it off, you just stay there for months.

“You shake it off and next time stays there for a year, and some guys get hit and it never goes away. There’s a time when you gotta worry about your health but it is a beautiful thing that they would even come up,” said Foreman.

Yet, Foreman believes it’s good that Tyson and Jones Jr. are coming out at this age. What appeared vexing to Foreman was the nature of the sport. The 71-year-old boxing great feels that you can come out to play basketball at this age but not boxing.

“I think it is good to come out but you know, its gotta be a fun thing but I hope one doesn’t hit the other.”

“Basketball would be okay, but boxing is nothing to play with,” said Foreman

Yet, Foreman is jot going to advise Tyson and Jones Jr to change up their minds. ‘The Big George’ believes that when you make up your mind, you cant ask them to stop. However, Foreman hardly insisted the veterans not to hit each other hard.
