Three-division world champion, Gervonta Davis, is set to give the lightweight division one of its biggest fights, with an April showdown against lightweight phenom, Ryan Garcia. Meanwhile, according to fans, ‘Tank’ has had a longstanding beef with Rolando Romero. A beef that culminated in a sensational title defense at the Barclays Center in New York City. However, many fans still believe that Romero deserves a rematch against Davis. And are often seen taking digs about it. In fact, Davis recently gave a sly response to a fan who took a swipe at him.
Jarret Hurd recently faced Jose Armando Resendiz at the Toyota Arena in Ontario. But, ended up losing the fight through a TKO. Reportedly, Hurd suffered a lip laceration, which led to a stoppage.

‘Tank’, who was not impressed with Hurd’s performance, took to Twitter to express his disappointment. He even mentioned that Hurd should return to the gym and work on his defense. It is worth noting that he had made this statement twice. This was when a user named, RollySleepsTankInARematch, retweeted a screenshot of Davis’ statement and criticized him for posting his statement twice.

Davis, on the other hand, wasted no time in taunting the user. He stated that he would knock out Romero because of his statement. Conversely, Davis and Romero were recently seen potentially making amends. Moreover, they exchanged pleasantries outside Mayweather’s gym.

It can be said that fans were pleasantly surprised to see this banter. In fact, a lot of them took to social media to share their thoughts about the same. User @MarquezRomell bluntly stated that he was unaware that Romero had fans.

Meanwhile, a few fans felt sorry for Romero. Moreover, user @JDreherLN mentioned that Romero was minding his own business. In the same vein, the user felt that he was unnecessarily dragged into the banter.

However, user @FireSkull2023 felt that ‘Tank’ and Romero had one of the most iconic rivalries in boxing. Additionally, the user even compared them to ‘Sugar’ Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran.
