Gervonta Davis compares himself to Canelo Alvarez

Gervonta Davis reiterated his admiration for the pound-for-pound king Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. Davis has always stated that he stops whatever he is doing to watch Canelo fight. It was no different during Canelo’s last fight against Caleb Plant. After Saul beat ‘Sweethands‘, Davis said, “Canelo is me at 168.. facts”

‘Tank’ also appeared on ‘The Last Stand Podcast’ hosted by Brian Custer and spoke about the similarities between himself and Canelo.

“The things that I see him do in a fight, that’s the things I do too,” said Davis. “I feel as though we have similar fighting styles. Once he feels like he got you hurt, he’s getting you out of there. What you see with me? If I feel like I got you hurt, I’m getting you out of there.”
