WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis doesn’t seem too interested in entertaining his fans on social media. This was made clear during a recent interaction between the Baltimore native and one of his followers. Known for his bold fashion choices, the 30-year-old has built a reputation not just for his knockout power in the ring but also for his eye-catching outfits.

Whether it’s high-end designer brands or custom-made pieces, Davis’s style often generates as much buzz as his fights. However, it seems he’s not open to fashion critiques—at least not from fans. Earlier today, after posting a selfie on X, Davis quickly made it known that he wasn’t in the mood for any negative comments about his drip.

‘Tank’ stepped out in a black custom pair of Chrome Hearts trousers, paired with a crisp white T-shirt, a sleek hat, and a gleaming gold watch. He carried what looked like a designer tote bag, layered diamond-encrusted chains around his neck, and finished the look with gray sneakers and a backpack slung over his back, blending high fashion with streetwear flair.

This prompted one of his fans to comment, “just throwing anything on but it works lol.” The seemingly lighthearted comment doesn’t appear to have sat well with the undefeated boxer, who quickly took shots at the fan, asking her to leave him alone. “H*e, ion got time..leave me alone,” the 30-year-old wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

He later re-posted a tweet from another fan, which read, “grieving will make you so mean!” Regardless, this comes after Davis’ controversial majority decision draw against rival WBA super featherweight champion Lamont Roach Jr. in March earlier this year. The pair is now expected to have their much-anticipated rematch on August 16, 2025, in Las Vegas.

In the meantime, Shakur Stevenson has chimed in about Roach’s chances of beating Gervonta Davis.

Shakur Stevenson is worried Gervonta Davis will lose a rematch

Stevenson believes Gervonta Davis could be in trouble again when he faces Lamont Roach Jr. in their August 16 rematch. Speaking to The Ring, Stevenson said, “I know what Tank is dealing with… he gotta be better than whatever he was the last time.” He credits Roach’s toughness, saying, “I know that Lamont Roach has been waiting on this opportunity his entire life.”

While Stevenson wants Davis to win, knowing it sets up a blockbuster bout between them, he isn’t convinced Tank will have it easy. “It worries me in the fact that I don’t get my opportunity to fight him as an undefeated fighter,” Stevenson admitted. Confident he’ll handle William Zepeda on July 12, Stevenson is watching closely—and hinting that an upset may be brewing.

That said, it appears Gervonta Davis isn’t willing to take any criticism about his fashion from fans on social media. However, the comment didn’t appear to be too critical of his drip to begin with. Do you agree? Or do you think Davis’ response was justified?
