Lightweight super-star Gervonta Davis may have caused a massive stir in his camp with his latest tweets. The undefeated champion addressed his potential return date and accused his team of giving away his return date.

Davis, who is represented by Mayweather promotions, fights on Showtime. Moreover, he is one of the biggest names for the company. However, after he revealed he hurt his hand in sparring, it appears as though he will have to wait longer than expected.

When Davis revealed the injury to his hand, there was no other information about it. Fans began speculating about the potential return of the champion and the severity of his injury. Therefore, ‘Tank’ took to Twitter again to reveal that his hands were fine.

This showed that it was not as severe as initially feared. As a result, the rumors of a potential return for the 25-0 fighter started circulating, especially since ‘Tank’ doesn’t have an opponent for his next fight.

Moreover, given that he fought in October, he is due for a return in the next couple of months. This gave fans something to look forward to.

He took to Twitter again to reveal that he may not fight at all in 2021. ‘Tank’ claimed that his team thinks he broke his hand and will hold him back. Furthermore, he claimed they were planning on giving away his potential return date too.

Not only did this tweet raise eyebrows for the claims, but it also showed that there was a return date planned for the champion. So, a return was imminent for Davis. However, if his tweets are anything to go by, we may not see him fight this year.
