The stage, transformed into a boxing ring, set the scene for Pluma’s rendition of his chart-topping hit, “Rubicon.” Accompanied by the iconic Mike Tyson,’ the duo, clad in boxing robes, made a dramatic entrance to the delight of an animated audience. In a post-performance moment, Tyson, who observed from the stage’s sidelines, stepped into the limelight to present Peso Pluma with the prestigious award for Top Latin Song.

The boxing legend praised Pluma as the “people’s champion,” emphasizing the artist’s impact on the music scene. Moreover, as he accepted the award, Pluma stated, “Thank you everyone. Thanks, Mr. Tyson, for being here. Thank you to all the fans, thank you for all the love and the support. And I’d like to thank the Billboard Awards for having me here. Thank you very much.” However, just before this happened, Tyson took to Instagram to share the news with his followers. He shared the picture of himself and Pluma facing off one another and wrote, “PESO PLUMA. MIKE TYSON. BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS #BBMAs- TONIGHT (NOV 19) AT 5PM PST – VIA @billboard,@BBMAs and bbmas.watch.”

As the picture surfaced on social media, it quickly garnered attention from fans. Many fans shared their excitement as they saw their favorite boxer join the famed artist. One fan asked the boxing legend to once again enter the squared circle. He stated, “Mike get back in the ring! Exhibition match!”. Notably, Tyson’s last fight was an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. Another fan chimed in with a rather joking remark stating, “Foreigners love peso pluma because they dont get the lyrics”.

Meanwhile, a fan wrote a worshiping statement writing, “MIKE TYSON OUR BOXER HERO”. However, one fan shared his surprise at the boxing legend’s long-lasting impact on the boxing world. He claimed, “Crazy how Tyson is still the face of boxing after all these years”.

Why would you wanna be seen with a cocaine head, a direct representation of the narc filth of the world. You knocked yourself out.” One fan came in defense of the former champion, stating, “Y’all need to leave Mike alone that’s his business. What he’s doing got nothing to do with you I guess he’s supposed to do what you think he’s supposed to do”.
