

Floyd Mayweather is one of the most accomplished fighters of all time. In a stellar in-ring career, Mayweather entered 50 fights and secured 50 wins to cement his place as an all-time great. Boxing was in the five-division world champion’s genes, as his father was a professional boxer.
From a young age, Mayweather Sr. taught his son the art of ‘Sweet Science’, and a major credit for his success is given to the 69-year-old.
However, the father-son duo once clashed in the boxing gym ahead of Mayweather Jr.’s fight with Victor Ortiz. ‘Pretty Boy’ went after his father and said, “Get out our way. You are in our way, this is our gym, get out our way.”

“Why you here?”
“Nobody asked you to come here.”
“Get the f**k out of my gym.”
“Come, put me out your gym, punk… I’ll beat your motherf***ing a**,” replied Mayweather Sr.

The pair entered an ugly verbal spat in the gym and the security had to jump in to separate them. The entire story began over which trainer was responsible for ‘TBE’s in-ring success.
The 50-0 boxer turned professional under his uncle Roger Mayweather. Two years later, ‘Pretty Boy’ again shifted to his father after his prison sentence ended in 1998. However, Floyd Mayweather returned to Roger Mayweather before his fight with Ortiz.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. did not only train his son. He also served as a trainer for Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya.

‘TBE’ faced both these names, and he ended up defeating them. In the above video, Mayweather Jr. even hit out at his father over this point.
“No fighter wants to be with you,” he said.
