Former unified lightweight champion, Teofimo Lopez, was sure to end the year 2022 with a bang. Fighting for the second time this year, he showcased a stellar performance against Sandor Martin. While fans were elated to see his performance, there were also a few who were not too pleased with it. In response, Lopez recently took to social media with a message for the haters.

Lopez faced Martin at the Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 10, 2022. Moreover, his WBO International light welterweight title was on the line for the fight.

Teofimo Lopez has a message for his haters

There is no denying that the fight proved to fighters why ‘The Takeover‘ is one of the most formidable fighters in the sport of boxing. Even though he was knocked down once. He came back to secure a decision win against Martin.

Talking about the fight, Lopez said, “It’s so hard to fight somebody like this when they’re running the whole time. Every time this guy committed, I countered and got him every time. He just ran the whole time.”

After the fight, he took to Twitter with a message for his haters. He posted a picture that showed his injuries, especially his swollen eye.

Lopez also mentioned that he is ready to let the haters hate. And added that he will keep working to remain at the top.

Twitter users were not too pleased with Lopez’s words. In fact, they retweeted with a few choice words for Lopez.

A lot of users did not mince words while mentioning that Sandor was the actual victor of the fight.

Meanwhile, user @BumpyStarter was quick to point out that Lopez has turned off the replies for the tweet.

However, a few users had some advice for Lopez. They mentioned that he has to step up this game and get back on the grind. Moreover, they even asked him to find a ‘real trainer’.
