His rise to boxing fame was quick. Thirty minutes, give or take! On 7 May 2022, Dmitry Bivol took on the formidable Saul Canelo Alvarez, and surprisingly, he came out on top. However, the Russian boxer has his eyes set on his upcoming clash against Lyndon Arthur. The fight will unfold on 23 December in the ‘Day of Reckoning’ boxing event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. So, when Bivol shared a picture of himself on social media, a bunch of hyped-up fans decided to focus on the fight rather than his birthday.

The WBA super light heavyweight champion last entered the ring against Mexico’s Gilberto Ramirez, winning the fight via unanimous decision. The boxing world wondered who Bivol would fight next. Many would have wanted a rematch with ‘Cinnamon,’ but Arthur has to do, for now. So, when Dmitry shared a snap of himself on Instagram to celebrate his birthday today, the theme in the comment section was motivational.

Dmitry Bivol’s highly anticipated comeback to the ring

Before his fight against Ramirez, Bivol was on top of the world because of his prior win over Canelo Alvarez. Everybody had expected the Russian to win despite the fact that before fighting Bivol, the Mexican Ramirez was undefeated with an impressive record of 44-0. However, what people had predicted came to fruition as Bivol was crowned the winner.

In his upcoming fight, however, things are a bit different! Lyndon isn’t undefeated but holds the IBO World Light Heavyweight title with a lot fewer fights under his belt. So, from that angle, it should be a cakewalk for the WBA light-heavyweight champion. Still, Bivol can’t afford to take the fight lightly as he defends his title for the 11th time because of Lyndon’s four-fight win streak. With that out of the way, here’s what fans commented on the pound for pound boxer’s recent post.
