The stage is set for Ryan Garcia to redeem himself, and Jake Paul is here for it! ‘King Ry’ is going to enter the ring for the first time after suffering his first career setback at the hands of Gervonta Davis. His opponent? Oscar Duarte – a Mexican boxer with a similar record of 26-1-1. Previously, the Victorville native claimed he would never lose again during an interview with DAZN Boxing while talking about his fight with Davis.
So, in an attempt to promote his upcoming fight, ‘King Ry’ turned to Instagram, announcing his arrival in Houston. “Arrived to Houston. See everyone at the weigh-ins (Open to Public) and Saturday The fight!!! Comment and Tag Friends to let them know about the weigh-ins and fight. Looking to everyone in person,” wrote Garcia. As the post from Garcia started circulating on the platform, ‘The Problem Child’ Paul quickly joined fans to hype up the impending clash between Ryan and Duarte.

Fans promise to attend the fight
Turning to Instagram, Garcia shared some pictures of himself on the flight to Huston and after he landed there. Upon discovering the post, some fans made supportive remarks, while others promised to attend the fight.

When Jake Paul saw the post, he commented, “⚡️⚡️⚡.”
One user motivated Garcia to get the win. “Go get this dub,” the user wrote.
Another user asserted that they were proud of Garcia. The user commented, “So proud of you, Ry.”
Someone else claimed he would attend the fight. The user wrote, “See you there, champ.”
The next user wished Garcia luck for the upcoming fight. “Good luck, Ryan,” commented the user.

Ryan Garcia wants to make a change
Ahead of his comeback fight against Duarte, ‘King Ry’ appeared in an interview with DZAN Boxing while shedding light on the aftermath of his fight against Davis. ‘Tank’ defeated Garcia via seventh-round knockout, handing Garcia his first career loss. So, during the interview, Garcia claimed the consequences of the loss dawned on him a month later.

“A month later, it was like, oh s**t, like I did lose that,” said Garcia. He went on to suggest that after realizing the consequences of the loss, he decided not to lose ever again. “That happened, and it kind of hit me, and I was like, I’m never going to lose again,” said Garcia. Later in the interview, Garcia suggested, “Sometimes you got to lose to realize I got to make a change.”

With mere days away from the fight, Garcia’s announcement of arriving in Huston attracted attention from Jake Paul and the rest of the boxing world.
