The promoter’s tweet caused a stir among the fans, who did not hesitate to respond to Oscar and call him out. Oscar De La Hoya took to Twitter and claimed that just because he is a celebrity, doesn’t mean he will be ready to take hate from the fans. It seems like the 50-year-old was just looking forward to having some fun and the fans ensured that they made that happen.

It seems like Oscar’s tweet was meant to agitate the fans and to put them on a “blast.” The 50-year-old does have a point in his tweet. Being in the public eye exposes celebrities to receive hate or mean comments from their fans. And gives way to many unsolicited opinions about their professional and personal lives.

And, in continuation to his Tweet, Oscar De La Hoya posted another tweet and wrote, “Shut the f**k up before I bend your legs.” It seems like the fans did go on a blast after the 50-year-old’s tweet. And Oscar himself had to intervene for the fans to stop.
