The win was a surprise for many as Parker, who has been training with Tyson Fury was considered a heavy favorite before the fight. However, what was more surprising was the way Parker was knocked out.

As the fight progressed both fighters were getting visibly exhausted with each of them on their last legs as the 11th round approached. Joyce would then capitalize on this and hit Parker with a clean left hook sending him crashing towards the ropes.

Usyk had recently declined to face Fury in a match this year and wants to face him next year. If a bout with The Gypsy King doesn’t pan out, he could very well take on Joyce in a classic heavyweight showdown.
