Graphic Warning: Boxer Erickson Lubin’s Face Gets Ripped to Shreds in His Second Career Defeat

The American pugilist, Sebastian Fundora, became WBC interim Super welterweight champion on Saturday night by outpointing opponent Erickson Lubin on Showtime from The Theater at Virgin hotels in Las Vegas.

The clash between top super welterweight contenders turned out to be an epic when both pugilists charged at each other with a killer instinct.

The aftermath of the horrific battle surfaced on Twitter. Erickson Lubin appeared with severe wounds on his face. It spoke volumes about the intensity with which they traded leather in the ring.

A Twitter account shared the pictures and wrote, “Fundora beat up Lubin wow! Both warriors tho!! Fought their hearts out.”

Another clip that surfaced on Instagram displayed a memorable rally between ‘The Towering Inferno’ and ‘Hammer’ Lubin in the 7th round that sent a spark in the arena and the crowd went wild.

Though Erickson Lubin faced the second defeat of his career, he showcased an incredible piece of art against the 6 foot 6 inches tall brawler. The 26-year-old unloaded a lethal combination of right and left hooks that pushed ‘The Towering Inferno’ on the ropes and then forced him to the floor.

The duo put incredible heart into the display. Both scored one knockdown and survived it. The first exciting moment came in the second round when ‘The Towering Inferno’ dropped Lubin with a well-crafted uppercut. It really hurt ‘Hammer’ so much that he took the help of rope while getting back on his feet.

Finally, a lethal uppercut came in the 9th round which seized Lubin, and the latter could not gather himself again.

After the fight, Fundora said, “I think this was probably my best performance ever. It was a back-and-forth fight, and he really brought his hammers today, but you know what, I decided to bring my drill and that’s what I did. My uppercut was landing like no other, it got the job done.”
