Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone made his name on the big screen following the success of his boxing blockbuster movie ‘Rock’. Despite ‘Sly’ being an integral part of the franchise the producers did not always want him to be a part of the production. Stallone was responsible for the script and thus wanted to star in his own film.
However, the producers of the film thought that Stallone was a relatively unknown actor and would not be able to carry the movie with his star power. In addition, Sly once even revealed the things his producers did to try and keep him away from production.

Sylvester Stallone details how producers tried to remove him from ‘Rocky’
In an interview with the BBC back in 1997, Stallone detailed the small clauses the producers made for him. This included trivial things like brushing his teeth or cursing which if caught doing, could end with Stallone being kicked out of his own movie.
“They put a lot of clauses in the contract like if I fell in love with my leading man, if I curse a nun or if I don’t brush my teeth or whatever. I could be removed from the script after production after five or 10 days, but all that aside, I think they just wanted to get rid of me.
