Former Love Island star turned boxer Tommy Fury is set to face Paul Bamba next on November 13th. The bout will take place on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather vs. Deji at the Coca-Cola arena in Dubai. Fury was initially set to face Jake Paul back in August. However, the fight fell through after he was denied entry into the US citing visa issues.

‘TNT’ will now compete in his ninth professional bout looking to add another win to his undefeated record. It could be argued that Fury was destined to be a boxer as it runs in his family. His cousin Tyson Fury is the current heavyweight champion, while his uncle John is one of the best trainers in the world. Despite all this, he is also very physically gifted. In a post by MMA Pack, it was revealed that Fury had an 80-inch reach despite only standing at 6 feet tall. This is almost unheard of as boxers his size usually don’t have this kind of reach.

However, the fans were quick to poke fun at Fury’s freakishly long arms as they reacted to this post.

Fans sound off Tommy Fury for his long reach

One fan was curious if he would be taller if he stood on his hands. “Does that mean he’s taller if he stands on his hand.” He wrote.

Another fan took shots at him, claiming that he couldn’t reach the pen to sign a good fight with his long arms. “Still can’t reach a pen to sign up for a decent fight.” He wrote.

One fan hilariously stated that he could skip just by using his arms. “Guy can skip without the rope” he wrote.

Moreover, one fan stated Fury could scratch his knees without bending over. “He can scratch his kneecaps while standing straight up.” he wrote

However, one fan found it impressive that he had an 80-inch reach, despite being only 6 feet. He also then compared his reach with ‘The Gypsy King’s. “His reach is 80 inches and his brother Tyson’s reach is 85 inches who is 6” 9’ almost a foot shorter than him and only 5 inches shorter reach is impressive.”

Although this certainly was an impressive stat about Fury, the fans were having none of it as they were quick to dismiss his physical gifts. According to the fans, Fury needs to fight opponents of his caliber and use his gifts.
