The fight for the top spot is finally here. The boxing world will get to witness the clash between welterweight titans Errol Spence Jr and Terence Crawford. This is one of the most anticipated fights in the sport. And the winner of this fight will be crowned as the next undisputed welterweight champion of the world. These two have held the top two positions in the welterweight division for a long time, and this fight will provide the final verdict on who deserves the number one spot in the division.

The fight is scheduled for July 29th. And, with still time to go for the fight, many fans are busy making predictions. Recently, Crawford’s gym partner and friend, Shakur Stevenson, made his prediction for the fight.

Stevenson believes that it’s a 50/50 fight on paper

In a recent interview with StayDown Productions, Stevenson gave his opinion about the fight being claimed as a 50/50 chance for both boxers to claim the tag of being the undisputed champion. He said, “On paper, it’s a 50/50 fight.”  adding, “I’m in the gym with Bud, I get to watch him in the gym, watch him spar. He looks good. “

He further mentioned Spence Jr. And added, “I don’t get to see Errol Spence. Errol Spence maybe beating the hell out of his sparring partners.”

Like any other good friend, Stevenson has made it clear that he stands in the corner with his friend despite the fact that he will face one of the most difficult opponents of his professional career. He believes that Terence Crawford is a bad “motherfu***r.” and he is “rocking” with him no matter what.

This fight puts a lot of things on the line for both the welterweights. They will risk their undefeated boxing records to become one of the most accomplished welterweights ever. And no doubt, this fight will go down in the history books. Crawford has more fights than Spence Jr., so that can be considered an experience advantage he holds over the unified champion. However nothing is set in stone in boxing, and it is hard to predict which of the two will emerge victorious. This fight will be a sight to behold for the fans.
