The British-American opened up about it to the interviewer on a podcast called Oompaville.
“My father was a massive influence on my life. I think I had the best father on the planet. I think he was the smartest man who’s ever walked the earth bar none. Smarter than me by 100 times. I wish he was alive cos having him on a podcast break the internet Dude was a genius. I have so many stories to prove his genius, but that’s a tangent,” Tate claimed.
This reminded the host, Caleb Phelps, about Tate’s father.
“I have a little tangent here too. Your dad is Emory Tate, right? In 2010, in what year did he pass away?”, Phelps asked.
Further, he told Tate that he had once seen his father at a very rich family event, where an older African-American guy was playing chess and his name was Mr. Tate. Next, Tate confirmed that the guy was his father only.
