The proudest moment for a father is when his son follows his life’s work, continuing the legacy. On a similar note, a clip of David Benavidez’s son recently surfaced online, and the boxing world is all over it. David Benavidez is coming off a dominant win over Demetrius Andrade in their epic clash on November 25.
Following his sixth-round technical knockout victory, ‘The Mexican Monster’ expressed his desire to fight the formidable Canelo Alvarez. The same sentiment was echoed by the entire boxing world. However, as of right now, there haven’t been any developments in that regard. While the boxing world was focused on that fight, Benavidez’s son just stole the spotlight with a flurry of punches in the recently surfaced clip.

One user claimed that the moves from the kid looked exactly like his father’s. “Damn, bro, just like this father,” wrote the user.
Another user suggested David’s kid and Canelo’s kid could fight in the future. “Him and Canelo son in the future,” the user commented.
Someone else claimed that David must have had tears in his eyes seeing his son taking up the sport. “I bet David cried,” remarked the user.
One user was quick to brand the kid with an exciting nickname akin to David Benavidez. “THE BABY MONSTER,” wrote the user.
The next user jokingly claimed that the kid must be faster than Canelo. The user goes as far as to suggest that he hits harder, too. “He’s already faster than Canelo probably hits harder, too,” the user commented.
While the whole boxing world is all about Canelo vs. Benavidez, here’s how ‘The Mexican Monster’ plans to corner Canelo to a fight.

According to Benavidez, if Canelo Alvarez fights Munguía in May, he would aim to fight Jermall Charlo, who expressed a desire to face him. David thinks Charlo is a potential fight for Canelo, so by defeating Charlo, he will be one step closer to fighting Canelo Alvarez. However, whether the strategy will work is yet to be seen.
