“He Better Not Duck This Fight”: Fans Don’t Hold Back After Ryan Garcia Wishes Gervonta Davis a Speedy Recovery

There is one lightweight matchup that both fans and the boxing fraternity have long anticipated. It’s the showdown between the WBA (Regular) lightweight titleholder, Gervonta Davis, and the WBC interim lightweight champion, Ryan Garcia. At the same time, talks about this fight have been abounding for a considerable period of time. It was announced that the duo would face each other on April 15, 2023. However, a scene from the recent Super Bowl gave rise to speculations about Davis backing out of the fight due to an injury. And, Garcia took to social media to wish his upcoming opponent a speedy recovery.

Super Bowl LVII took place at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Davis was also in attendance at this event. But, it was seen that Davis needed a wheelchair to get around the venue. According to TMZ, he had suffered an ankle injury. Meanwhile, he was certain that he will make a complete recovery before the fight. Davis also added, “Sh*t happen all the time. Sh*t be happening.”

News about the same was shared on social media. And, Garcia was quick to wish him a speedy recovery. He further also reminded him of their upcoming fight. This came at a time when there was news that a contract between the duo was yet to be signed.
