In a recent podcast on Spotify, Joe Rogan describes the anatomy that Tyson had when he competed in the ring.

He elaborates,” There’s no lucky with Tyson. You ain’t getting lucky cause he can take, he can get hit with a missile. His head is so f**cking thick. Like, like his jaw is so thick, the structure of his neck, his neck is so thick, like he was such, like, like a shock absorber for punches. Like, Tyson got hit with bombs. Even in the fight, he lost to Buster Douglas, look at how many times he got hit before he went down.”

He talks about the maiden defeat of Tyson against Buster Douglas. Douglas went on hitting combinations with heavy punches on Tyson. But after a set of many hard hits, Tyson was finally down on the canvas, and Douglas was declared the new heavyweight champion.

Rogan remembers the moments when Tyson showed the use of his rugged physique to keep up in his match.
Moreover, he describes or tells how the sturdy nature of his neck and the thickness of his jaw were useful for him in the ring while taking punches from his opponents. It was a tough task for the opponents to bring down Tyson during a brawl.

To be a world champion at 20 takes a lot of perseverance and discipline. Obviously, Tyson worked a lot to develop his strength and game, which made him a legend in the sport.
