So, the upcoming fight was the center of everyone’s attention. Meanwhile, Subriel Matias has made up his mind about the winner already.

In a recent interview with Cano Loco Sports, the rising boxing sensation Subriel Matias expressed his thoughts about the potential winner. The 20-1 Matias recently showcased his talents in the ring against Shohjahon Ergashev, winning the fight via technical knockout. However, the rising star is aiming for a bigger fight against Haney as he predicts the outcome while requesting an opportunity.

Subriel Matias claims Regis Prograis has good technical skills

During the interview, Subriel Matias boldly suggested that Haney would come out victorious. “Haney in this fight,” said Matias. When the reporter tried to confirm Matias’ prediction, the Puerto Rican professional boxer revealed his thoughts about Regis’ skills in the ring. “Yeah, I think he got good technical, but he no got heart,” said Matias.

When probed further about his statement about Regis Prograis, the 20-1 boxer had some special words for the Houston resident. “He chicken….he is running a lot,” said Matias. Later in the interview, the Puerto Rican boxer went on to urge Haney for a fight. “Devin Haney, I want fight you. Please give me the opportunity,” said Matias. While Subriel Matias picked Haney, the latter claimed people like to hate him.

Haney has been the center of a lot of critique lately! First, it was his performance against Lomachenko. Then, the rumors of Haney avoiding a fight against Shakur Stevenson. So, while appearing in an interview with DAZN in their ‘Off The Cuff’ segment, Haney expressed his thoughts on public perception.

“At the end of the day, you know, people love to hate me…You know, I don’t know what it is,” said Haney. He went on to suggest that he has embraced how people feel about him. “Nah, I mean, it is what it is. I mean, I embrace it now because what can I do? I’m me. It wouldn’t be right if they did it any other way,” said Haney.
