Floyd Mayweather Jr is undoubtedly one of the best boxers in the world. He retired from the sport at the top by cementing himself as the greatest. However, throughout his life, the boxer has found himself in the midst of a lot of controversies. In 2014, the former five-division world champion had a very public physical confrontation with rapper Clifford Joseph Harris Jr, who is known by his stage name, ‘TI.’ And the news was a shock to the whole world. Both of these celebrities clashed inside a restaurant and had to be pushed apart by their respective bodyguards.

In a clip surfacing on the internet, Mayweather Jr tries to explain his side of the beef with the rapper. And clarifies what actually happened between the two and what he thinks about the altercation now. But it seems like fans are not pleased with the champ’s clarification and believe he was just avoiding the question.

In a podcast episode of  Drink Champs, the champ opened up about this public fallout with the rapper and what prevailed when the two met inside the restaurant. Mayweather Jr said, “If you believe that your wife is a trophy, she should be at home on the shelf.”

He further added, “If you violate, am a [I will] demonstrate. Am a man first, and I stand for what I believe in. “  He further talked about how he is the best at what he does. The 46-year-old talked about how sometimes one can focus on things he should not focus on, and that can cause problems.

It is safe to say that what Mayweather Jr said during the podcast episode is vague. And, the fans fans did share their reactions claiming that the champ is not answering the question as he should.

Fans react to Mayweather’s explanation

One fan believes that Mayweather Jr just danced around the question as he used to do when inside the ring. He wrote, “He danced around that question just like he do in the ring.”

Another fan claimed that the champ said nothing. He commented, “He said a whole lot of nothing!”

One fan showed his appreciation for Mayweather Jr. He commented,“I love him for that. If you got a Queen treat her like one. Period. Because he got way more money than T.I. So please don’t play with it.”

One fan is certain that Mayweather never answered the question. He wrote, “I don’t even know what he said! But he’s the Best though.”

Another fan wrote, “He never answered the question. Dafuq, Floyd!”
