And after Wilder’s defeat against Fury, Foreman invited the fellow American to train with him. He believes that Wilder can make a comeback and reclaim the title like him (Foreman retired in 1977 and returned a decade later).

On the PBC podcast, Wilder discussed his conversation with Foreman.

“It was good talking to George. George is one of the guys who has been trying to get in touch for a good little bit. But you know we’ve been moving so much and everybody has got a schedule and stuff.” Wilder said.

Wilder claimed that it was easier to connect with George during the pandemic, as everything has shut down.

He said, “During this time everything is shut down so it’s always good to have great conversations at this moment in time. We had a great conversation. We talked about a lot of things that went on in his career. You know good and bad.”

According to Wilder, Foreman discussed a lot of tricks and knowledge. The second fight against Fury was also apart of the conversation. ‘Big George’ also showed interest in teaching Wilder some new methods of training to strengthen specific body parts.

Furthermore, Wilder stated his intentions to train with Foreman in the future.

“He definitely dropped a couple of gems down for me. It was good to see him. So once everything clears up I think I’m going to go out and go see George and see him face to face and spend some time with him and intake some of that good old knowledge that he has up there.”

With the added knowledge, do you think Wilder can beat Fury in a trilogy?
