UFC commentator and mixed martial artist, Joe Rogan was joined by ‘The Baddest Man on Planet’ Mike Tyson in his podcast. The two boxing enthusiasts discussed the current generation of heavyweight boxers at great length, especially ‘The Bronze Bomber’, Deontay Wilder.

During the JRE podcast, Rogan reminisced about the action-packed Deontay Wilder fights. Particularly, the times when the former WBC heavyweight champion took on ‘The Gypsy King’.

Joe Rogan on Wilder vs Fury

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury put on not just one but two of the most gripping heavyweight title fights in the history of the sport. The first fight between the duo was a sight to witness as they went toe-to-toe till the final bell.

Although the bout ended in a draw, Wilder knocked Fury down with a right hand. Joe Rogan aptly described the way Wilder took on Fury. He said, “He [Deontay Wilder] had Tyson Fury on Queer Street”. Rogan further explained what he meant by this.

He elaborated, “That’s what they call it because you don’t know what’s going on its odd it’s the word for odd.” According to him, it was strange to see the masterful boxer Tyson Fury be in unknown territory.

Without missing a beat, the UFC commentator later clarified that it’s an old saying that had nothing to do with the LGBTQI+ community.

According to Rogan, there aren’t many humans to have ever lived who could punch as hard as the Bronze Bomber. Rogan told Mike Tyson that Wilder is “without a doubt one of the hardest punchers of all time”
