“Probably Beterbiev because he’s 15 and 0, 15 Knockouts,” Benavidez discloses, highlighting Beterbiev’s unparalleled knockout streak. This revelation comes as Benavidez gears up to face Oleksandr Gvozdyk, a formidable fighter in his own right, previously KOed by Beterbiev.

He further elaborates on Beterbiev’s style, “The thing I see about him is a little bit different that might be an easier way to beat him is that he’s really flat-footed, but he has a lot of power.” Transitioning to Bivol, Benavidez acknowledges a different breed of fighter, “The thing about Bivol he’s more of a complete fighter, he can hit you from here, he can move here, you can’t hit him he’s moving you know using the whole ring.”

It would definitely be fun to watch him fight any of these 2 fighters, but what about his fight with Canelo Alvarez? And are there any chances of this fight happening?

Canelo demands “Bulls**t” purse

David Benavidez, once poised for a blockbuster clash with Canelo Alvarez, has pivoted his focus entirely towards the light heavyweight division, dismissing any lingering hopes of facing the undisputed super middleweight champion. Frustrated by prolonged negotiations and Alvarez’s steep financial demands, Benavidez expressed his disillusionment. “With Canelo, it’s that bulls—t, ‘Oh, he needs to be respectful.’ I won’t bow my knee to anybody because I’ve earned my shot,” Benavidez remarked on The Fresh and Fit Podcast.

He further highlighted the crux of the issue: “This fight isn’t happening because he wants $150 million. That’s telling me he’s scared.” Concluding his thoughts, Benavidez declared, “I don’t think that Canelo fight is going to happen, so I’ve gotta move on. These guys at 175lbs are some killers. Now my mind is one hundred percent focused on them.”
