Terence Crawford spoke plainly about the Fury vs. Ngannou fight. According to him, Ngannou has “no chance” winning against Tyson Fury. Crawford believes in Fury and this belief comes from Fury’s experience and skill. Although Ngannou is a former UFC Heavyweight champion, this is his first professional boxing match. Crawford said, “He has no chance.” This statement shows doubt over Ngannou’s ability to move from MMA to boxing. Especially against one of the best Heavyweights ever.

As Crawford clearly elucidated in his opinion saying, “He has no chance. When I was doing a interview at the UFC gym. They asked me about the fight. I said you have no chance. You talking about one of the best heavyweights ever [Tyson Fury], you know. And you think this guy with no boxing experience going to come in there and just beat him? He don’t hit harder than tight. He hit harder than Deontay Wilder.”

Subsequently, the narrative of the podcast took a turn towards MMA fighters being interested in boxing. To which, Bud had a compelling answer.

Why according to Bud, MMA fighters are turning towards boxing?

Crawford’s blatant viewpoint turned its course from Ngannou to the rest of the MMA fighters. In Bud’s regards, they are interested in doing boxing as it benefits their pockets. As Bud said about Francis too, “he’s going to make a lot of money.”

Furthermore, he added Conor McGregor as the aspirational figure here. With an estimated net worth of $180 million, Conor is an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight and Lightweight double-champion. Furthermore, he even fought Floyd Mayweather in 2017 and it was the match that saw the most-watched pay-per-view events in history. Regarding this, Crawford elucidated how McGregor has set the bars for other UFC fighters. Like he said, “Definitely all these MMA guys see Conor McGregor they like, oh. Yeah he made all that money. Yeah let me try.”
