Dmitry Bivol, the Russian underdog who shocked the world at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, has become a global sensation. He had an unbreakable record before, but his victory over Canelo Alvarez has stimulated his profile and set a new record.

In a recent interview with Behind The Gloves, Bivol was asked about a rematch with Alvarez. The boxer stated, “Yeah, I said if pretty much, yeah no problem. But let’s make a new negotiation. You know, new negotiation, I took this fight for no…”

Bivol’s manager, Vadim Kornilov, further continued, “You know no agreement. This was an opportunity, that’s all it was. You know, nothing else was considered, um, even though Bivol was the champion and Canelo was the challenger. With all due respect to him, we accepted all the terms that they wanted…… He’s also now someone who beat Canelo. So I think it just has to be fair, and he has to gain what he lost in the first fight.”

Who is Dmitry Bivol?

The 31-year-old Russian boxer had his first professional fight in 2014. He has been a boxing prodigy, setting remarkable records since his childhood. Also, the boxer won the gold medal in 2013 at the World Combat Games.
