The undefeated heavyweight champion last fought in December of last year against Derek Chisora. Moreover, the boxer was speculated to face Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed status. However, the off-court negotiations failed to materialize and the bout fell apart. It was at this stage, that ‘The Gypsy King,’ decided to face former UFC champion, Francis Ngannou.

Jeff Mayweather can foresee an upset for Fury against Ngannou
Despite the dominating narrative in the boxing world, former champion, Jeff Mayweather can foresee a win for Ngannou against Fury. However, he considers the chances of the same to be subjected to him landing a clean punch. So although he does not disregard the possibility of an upset, he does not deem Ngannou to have more than a puncher’s chance.
Reflecting on the same, in an interview, he stated, “Well I mean, I think, Ngannou got a chance. He got a puncher’s chance. That’s mostly what anybody coming from a different sport has that kind of chance when you talking about the best heavyweight in the world.”
