The boxing world is buzzing with rumors of Anthony Joshua going face to face with Deontay Wilder. The clash between the two boxers is one of the most anticipated fights in the boxing world. However, there is no confirmation of the fight materializing in the near future. More importantly, an old opponent of Anthony Joshua has come out with his predictions for the potential fight. Who is the former rival? It’s none other than Andy Ruiz Jr.!

Andy Ruiz took on the English boxer back in 2019. The two fighters went toe-to-toe twice. Ruiz pulled an upset in the first fight but failed to replicate the same results in the second one. Since his loss to ‘AJ,’ Ruiz’s career has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. However, he made a remarkable comeback by getting into the best shape of his career. Here is the twist in the story, however! Ruiz is also pursuing a fight against Wilder, which is delayed because of a dispute over the payouts. So, in a recent interview with Fight Hub TV, Ruiz did not hold back regarding a potential fight between Wilder and Joshua.

Ruiz proceeds with unwavering confidence as he boldly predicts the outcome of the potential fight. “Um, I feel Wilder could beat Joshua, yes,” Ruiz told Fight Hub TV. He also hinted at not wanting to fight Joshua again, “I feel Wilder could beat Joshua, but I want to fight Wilder. So I would rather fight him than any other chums.” While rumors are floating around about both potential fights, there are no official announcements for either. Only time will tell which fight will happen first.

Malik Scott on Joshua vs. Wilder

Malik Scott is Wilder’s trainer and has spoken publicly about the potential showdown between Wilder and Joshua. Previously, Scott asserted that Joshua was not going to fight Wilder because Wilder’s fighting style puts Joshua at risk of a knockout. However, Scott has also claimed that Joshua is indifferent to fighting Wilder.

According to an article from Boxing Scene, Scott asserted that Andy Ruiz has a better chance of scoring a fight against Wilder. However, it’s worth noting that negotiations for the fight with Andy Ruiz aren’t going very well either. Wilder has accused Ruiz of demanding $25 million for the fight, with Ruiz refuting the accusation.
