When expectations did not match reality, they hurt. The unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faced this harsh reality when he could not alter the decision of his rematch with the Ukranian heavyweight champ Oleksandr Usyk. The successive loss broke him from the inside and he could not control himself, which resulted in a lot of drama.

The post-fight scenario earned a lot of controversies. Many dragged Joshua into the witness box and questioned his anger.

Despite exchanging fists in the ring, ‘The Cat’ showed great sportsmanship. In the game, where rivalries are more common, Usyk defended his opponent.

Understanding the heat of the moment, Usyk insisted on supporting Joshua.

“I don’t have any rancor towards him and I want to tell people that they shouldn’t hold it against him – he didn’t do anything bad. Emotions took over him. Don’t judge him for that. Instead, he needs support and reassurance, ” Usyk said.

Certainly, at this point in time, Joshua needs support. Though Usyk’s remark will not create much difference, it would undoubtedly help Joshua.

What did Anthony Joshua do after the fight?

After losing the fight, Joshua could not cool his temper and became emotional. He unleashed the wrath of defeat on the belts. Joshua entered the arena in Saudi Arabia to seek revenge for the first loss against the undefeated southpaw.

Before the fight, he was confident of his victory, but Usyk’s command in the ring disappointed him. Though he gave a tough battle better than the first bout, he could not regain his titles. Despite the change and efforts Joshua displayed to win the fight, he could not get the desired results.

After the fight, Joshua threw his belts outside the ring and began shouting. Which Usyk thinks was rash, but understandable.
