After the authorities got a hold of the Mexican boxer, he was not allowed to leave, and they took him to a psychiatric facility under the 5150 California code of law. It allows some officials to hold a person for 72 hours if they believe someone is a danger to themselves or others. Even his legendary father had shown concern about his habit of popping pills.

While appearing in a podcast with the Bromeando con los Rivera show, he stated, “It hurts me that he’s going to go crazy, that he’s going to have an accident driving at 12-1 in the morning at full speed, that he’s going to have a heart attack from all the pills he takes.” Even though Jr. didn’t have a heart attack, he did land himself in trouble with the authorities.
