

It’s been a long time since Floyd Mayweather defeated the current P4P king, Canelo Alvarez. Yet, Mayweather never leaves a chance to find faults in Alvarez. Now, Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Alvarez, shared his views about the same.

In a recent interview with Fino boxing, Hearn was asked about his views on Mayweather’s constant criticism of Alvarez.

The interviewer asked, “Eddie, what do you make about Floyd Mayweather? always you know, find an opportunity to criticize Canelo.”

Hearn immediately replied, “Because, because Floyd doesn’t like anyone to… get close to his, his kind of legacy Floyd’s an amazing fighter. He’s a pound for pound great. He’s a pay-per-view star, but this guy’s different.”
“You know in the respect of, he’s just a different personality. He’s much more humble. He’s a man of the people you know. But Floyd was a great star in his own, right? He should embrace the next generation.”

According to Hearn, Mayweather must not criticize Alvarez, and instead, he should support the subsequent generation to keep the spirit of boxing high.
As a result, this will increase the interest amongst the viewers, which will be beneficial to the boxing fraternity.
