‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ Mike Tyson sat down with WBC for an exclusive interview. The two-time heavyweight champion did not hold back on his views about the current generation of heavyweight boxing.

During the course of the interview dropping on the WBC YouTube channel on Wednesday, April 27th, Tyson brutally called out today’s fighters.

Tyson expressed his disappointment with the heavyweight fighters and expressed the lack of effort they put into maintaining their physique. He stated, “You can just look at the fighters now they, maybe they are bigger, but look they have no respect for the way their bodies look.

Although without name dropping, ‘Iron Mike’ went on to hilariously ridicule the current heavyweight champions like Tyson Fury by saying, “He shouldn’t look like he’s the hot dog eating champ.

The most renowned heavyweight who doesn’t boast a classic heavyweight physique is the WBC and lineal heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury.

Another example of these types of fighters is the former unified heavyweight champion, Andy Ruiz Jr. Ruiz became the first Mexican to win a heavyweight championship by defeating Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Garden.

‘Iron Mike’ in his prime

During the interview, Tyson compared current boxers with himself in his glory days. He stated, “But that’s how I look. I come in. I’m beautiful, heavyweight championship looks beautiful.” The former heavyweight champion was a force to be reckoned with as he treated his body like a temple.
